A brand new bank
A former executive of IBS bank, came to VML with the idea of starting a new all digital disruptor bank. Her objective was to pave the way for the future of banking in a way that no traditional bank ever could accomplish. She came to our team with the need to create materials that formalised the brand, product and vision of this new bank for upcoming meetings with investors. She needed to raise millions in order to apply for a UK banking license.
Defining the Possible
I led the VML team through research, ideation and execution of a whole suite of materials to support the bank’s pitch to investors. We codenamed the project Bank Possible and formalised its vision, values and core proposition into a website, investors book and pitch presentation.
Our most important contribution to the success of Bank Possible was in our vision work which defined the nine most important product features and brought them to life around the customer journey. This was cited by the CEO as the most pivotal expression of the bank proposition that ultimately led the way in securing the license and funding.
